SPRING SCHEDULE OF CLASSES 

Spring Session starts April 8, 2020
Registration opens February 1, 2020


The Dramafun Players (Grades 5 and up)
The Dramafun Players is a performance troupe consisting of enthusiastic, dedicated young performers in grades 5 and up who are passionate about the performing arts. Our students vary in age and experience but all share a common passion and dedication. For the Spring semester we will be learning the process of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing a one-act play. All registered students will receive roles.
Rehearses Every Saturday 1:00pm-4:00pm @ 6A Studios, 24 Route 6A in Sandwich.
Starts April 18th. NO CLASS APRIL 25TH. 
Students will read from the script in class for auditions and roles will be assigned. More info TBA.
FEE $260 includes non-refundable $60 registration fee, materials, and professional instruction. $10 audience admission tickets to the shows are not included in this fee.
Performance is Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 7pm. Dress rehearsal will be at 5pm that same day! No other extra rehearsals will be scheduled.

Dramafun Jr. Players (Grades 3-5) 
Our Jr. Players performance troupe consists of boys and girls in grades 3-5 who are passionate about the performing arts.
For the Spring semester we will be learning the process of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing a one-act play. All registered students will receive speaking roles. Students will read from the script in class for auditions and roles will be assigned. More info TBA.

Wednesdays 4-5:30pm @ 6A Studios, 24 Route 6A in Sandwich.
Starts April 8, 2020. No class on April 22 and May 20th.

This new group is for enthusiastic and focused young performers who love to sing and dance.
Our MINI Players performance troupe consists of boys and girls in grades 1-3 who are passionate about the performing arts and enjoy acting, singing, and dancing.
For the Spring semester we will be learning the process of  auditioning, rehearsing, and performing a short play. All registered students will receive speaking roles.

Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm @ 6A Studios, 24 Route 6A in Sandwich.
Starts April 8, 2020.
No class on April 22 and May 20th.  
FEE $200 includes non-refundable $60 registration fee, materials, and professional instruction.

CREATIVE DRAMA & MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES

Creative Drama & Dance (K-2nd grade) *NEW CLASS TIME*
This class is full of music, dance, dramatic play, story enactment, imagination journeys, and theater games. Learn to sing songs and move expressively to music, act our stories and use your imagination! The second half of the semester is spent rehearsing a mini-musical to share with family and friends in a final performance.
Saturdays 10:30am-11:30pm

Fee $140

Act Out! (Grades 3-5)

his class is designed for students who want to focus on acting skills and who are ready for a goal-oriented challenge. Students will learn to be more expressive vocally and physically, and will begin to explore basic scene study. A short play will be rehearsed to share with family and friends in a final performance.
Thursdays 5:15-6:15pm

Sing Out! (Grades 3-5)

his class is designed for singers just starting out wanting to boost their confidence in singing and for students wanting more opportunities to sing solos in a small group setting.
Thursdays 6:15-7:15pm

Fee $160
Starts April 9,2020. No class April 23 or May 7, 2020.
Performance (optional) is Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11am at The Sandwich Town Hall auditorium.


Musical Theater Voice Class (Grades 5 and up) 
Do you love to sing? Than this is the class for you! Learn vocal technique in a group setting and the process of "telling the story of the song." Each student will work on a solo piece from Broadway repertoire and several ensemble numbers to share in a final performance.  This is a great add on to our Musical Theater Dance class or great preparation for upcoming auditions. Class will be limited in size to ensure individual attention. This is a great introduction to private voice instruction.
Mondays 5:30-6:30pm with Courtenay Harrington-Bailey.

Books Alive (Ages 4-6) (On Hold. Contact Me for more info)

Your child will explore and enact a different book each week. Through active creative movement, dance, theater games, music, imagination journeys, stories, crafts and more your child will delight in acting out favorite characters. This is a perfect outlet for the creative young person in your life and a gentle introduction into the magical world of theatre!

Musical Theatre Dance Class (Grades 5 and up)

usical Theatre Dance is an exciting class that explores the world of acting and movement. You'll have fun learning "new moves" in a relaxed dance environment and practice learning new choreography to your favorite Broadway tunes while working up a sweat and making new friends! This class will be an excellent opportunity for students to prepare for school or community theatre auditions as well as developing confidence and stage presence.
Mondays 6:30-7:30pm with Courtenay Harrington-Bailey.

JazzFit-Adults with Courtenay
Dance, move, and groove in this upbeat cardio class combined with some gentle stretches and core conditioning to get you feeling and looking your best. This non-competitive class can be modified to all levels of fitness

Private Voice Instruction with Courtenay Harrington-Bailey-(Limited availability)
Courtenay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Vocal Music Performance and Theatre Arts from Hartwick College. She has had the joy of singing a variety of different genres and styles all over the United States, Canada, and Europe and was a professional musical theatre performer for many years before moving to Cape Cod to raise her family. Now an educator of music, movement, and drama she enjoys working with all ages to inspire them to reach their personal best. Her emphasis is on singing without tension and finding authentic, honest expression through lyric interpretation. Some of Courtenay's students have gone on to pursue professional music careers but all have discovered the joy and power of their own voice! Please contact Courtenay to arrange a meeting. Open lesson times are listed on the calendar above but please reach out if you do not see a time that works for you. Lessons are $30/half hour and $60/hour billed in advance monthly. Payment for voice lessons may be made in cash, check, or Venmo.

MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION CAMP SESSION A 
GRADES 4-12

JULY 9-25, 2020
We are looking for enthusiastic and talented young singer/actor/dancers to take part in this two week intensive musical theatre production camp. Campers will learn the process of auditioning,rehearsing, and performing a full scale production of INTO THE WOODS JR., A new take on Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s groundbreaking musical fairytale about wishes and the choices we make.

Campers will learn music, choreography, blocking and enjoy fun theater games to build a strong team. Our spacious deck will allow for outdoor time during breaks while our newly renovated air conditioned studio will keep us moving on the hottest days. This is a multi-age production with plenty of opportunities for students of all abilities. INTO THE WOODS JR. is a true ensemble production with many opportunities for all our students to have a moment to shine. Our students vary in age and experience but all share a passion for the performing arts. All registered campers will receive a role!

Placement auditions will be held Thursday, July 9th from 1-4pm. Callbacks for everyone will be Friday, July 10th from 1-4pm. Video submissions or early auditions can be arranged for those out of town on scheduled audition days.
Our first rehearsal will begin at 9am on July 13th.
FINAL PERFORMANCES are Saturday, July 25 @ 2pm and 7pm. DETAILS TBA.

OPTION A FULL DAY MUSICAL THEATER PRODUCTION CAMP

Monday-Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm @ 6A Studios in Sandwich, Ma.
FEE $660 includes materials and 70 hours of professional instruction.
Campers will attend rehearsals for the morning session and participate in a variety of workshops for our afternoon session including set, costuming, dance, voice, and acting. This full day experience will include age appropriate breaks for fun and games!
OPTION B HALF DAY PROGRAM MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION CAMP
Monday-Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm @ 6A Studios in Sandwich, Ma.
FEE $560 includes materials and 50 hours of professional instruction.
Campers will attend rehearsals for the morning session. Campers may elect to stay for a full day to attend select workshops for an additional fee of $25/day.

MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION CAMP SESSION B
Grades 1-6
July 27-August 7, 2020

Teen Mentors (Ages 13 +)
Lead, Create, Perform, Inspire!

FOR TEENS INTERESTED IN PERFORMANCE AND LEADERSHIP:
We are looking for talented teens with strong leadership skills to take part in our summer musical theater camp productions. The ideal candidate would have experience in musical theater and the ability and desire to take an active role in mentoring younger students. Our Teen Mentors are expected to "lead by example" both on and off the stage. Mentors may be given greater responsibilities in relation to their specific talents. Past mentors have been assistant musical directors, choreographers/dance captains, stage managers, and/or all around positive role models both on and off the stage. Our Teen Mentors "Lead, Create, Perform, and Inspire." Does this sound like you? Please submit a short essay by May 1st telling us how you would plan to uphold our motto "Lead, Create, Perform, Inspire." Be sure to share your strengths and how we would benefit from your leadership.
There will be two teen mentor positions offered.  Teen mentors will be awarded a discount on camp tuition.
