WINTER SCHEDULE OF CLASSES

Winter Session starts January 4, 2020




ALADDIN JR. PRODUCTION CLASSES

The Dramafun Players (Grades 5 and up) (8 spots left)
The Dramafun Players is a performance troupe consisting of enthusiastic, dedicated young performers in grades 5 and up who are passionate about the performing arts. Our students vary in age and experience but all share a common passion and dedication. For the Winter semester we will be learning the process of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing a full scale Broadway-Jr production of ALADDIN JR. All registered students will receive roles.

Rehearses Every Saturday 1:00pm-4:00pm
 @ 6A Studios, 24 Route 6A in Sandwich.
Starts January 4th. No rehearsal February 22 due to February school vacation.
FEE $360 includes non-refundable $60 registration fee, materials, and approximately 50 hours of professional instruction. $15 audience admission tickets to the shows are not included in this fee.

MANDATORY TECH WEEK REHEARSALS are
Monday-Thursday 6-8pm March 30-April 2. 
Friday, April 3, 6-9pm.
Performances are Saturday, April 4th at 2pm & 7pm, and Sunday, April 5th at 2pm.

Dramafun Jr. Players (Grades 3-5) ALADDIN JR. PRODUCTION CLASS (1 spot left)

Our Jr. Players performance troupe consists of boys and girls in grades 3-5 who are passionate about the performing arts.
For the Winter semester we will be learning the process of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing a full scale Broadway-Jr production of ALADDIN JR. All Jr. Players will be assigned ensemble roles. Those wishing to audition for lead roles must enroll in the Dramafun Players class on Saturday.

Wednesdays 4-5:00pm
 @ 6A Studios, 24 Route 6A in Sandwich. (Rehearsals 1/8-3/25 in addition to Saturdays in March from 3-4pm. No classes the week of February vacation.

Dramafun Mini Players (Grades 1-3) FROZEN JR. PRODUCTION CLASS (4 spots left)
This new group is for enthusiastic and focused young performers who love to sing and dance.
Our MINI Players performance troupe consists of boys and girls in grades 1-3 who are passionate about the performing arts and enjoy acting, singing, and dancing.
For the Fall semester we will be learning the process of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing a full scale Broadway-Jr production of ALADDIN JR. All Mini Players will be assigned ensemble roles.

Wednesdays 5:15pm-6:15pm
 @ 6A Studios, 24 Route 6A in Sandwich. (Rehearsals 1/8-3/25.) in addition to two mandatory technical and dress rehearsals. No classes the week of February vacation.

CREATIVE DRAMA & MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES

Books Alive (Ages 4-6)

Your child will explore and enact a different book each week. Through active creative movement, dance, theater games, music, imagination journeys, stories, crafts and more your child will delight in acting out favorite characters. This is a perfect outlet for the creative young person in your life and a gentle introduction into the magical world of theatre!
Saturdays 10:30am-11:15am 
6A Studios, 24 Route 6A in Sandwich.
Fee $150

Starts January 11, 2020 and ends March 14, 2020. No class February 22.
Final performance is Saturday, March 14 at 11am at The Sandwich Town Hall auditorium.



Creative Drama & Dance (K-2nd grade) (Full-contact us to be on a wait list)

This class is full of music, dance, dramatic play, story enactment, imagination journeys, and theater games. Learn to sing songs and move expressively to music, act our stories and use your imagination! The second half of the semester is spent rehearsing a mini-musical to share with family and friends in a final performance.
Saturdays 11:30am-12:30pm

Fee $175

Starts January 11, 2020 and ends March 14, 2020. No class February 22.
Final performance is Saturday, March 14 at 11am at The Sandwich Town Hall auditorium.


Act Out! (Grades 3-5) (2 spots left)

This class is designed for students who want to focus on acting skills and who are ready for a goal-oriented challenge. Students will learn to be more expressive vocally and physically, and will begin to explore basic scene study. A short play will be rehearsed to share with family and friends in a final performance.
Thursdays 5:15-6:15pm

Fee $185
Starts January 9 and ends March 12, 2020. No class February 20, 2020.

Sing Out! (Grades 3-5)
This class is designed for singers just starting out wanting to boost their confidence in singing and for students wanting more opportunities to sing solos in a small group setting.

Thursdays 6:15-7:15pm

Musical Theater Voice Class (Grades 5 and up) (Full-Contact us to be on a wait list)

Do you love to sing? Than this is the class for you! Learn vocal technique in a group setting and the process of "telling the story of the song." Each student will work on a solo piece from Broadway repertoire and several ensemble numbers to share in a final performance.  This is a great add on to our Musical Theater Dance class or great preparation for upcoming auditions. Class will be limited in size to ensure individual attention. This is a great introduction to private voice instruction.

Mondays 5:30-6:30pm with Courtenay Harrington-Bailey.

Musical Theatre Dance Class (Grades 5 and up)

usical Theatre Dance is an exciting class that explores the world of acting and movement. You'll have fun learning "new moves" in a relaxed dance environment and practice learning new choreography to your favorite Broadway tunes while working up a sweat and making new friends! This class will be an excellent opportunity for students to prepare for school or community theatre auditions as well as developing confidence and stage presence.

Mondays 6:30-7:30pm with Courtenay Harrington-Bailey.

JazzFit-Adults with Courtenay
Dance, move, and groove in this upbeat cardio class combined with some gentle stretches and core conditioning to get you feeling and looking your best. This non-competitive class can be modified to all levels of fitness

Private Voice Instruction with Courtenay Harrington-Bailey-(Limited availability)
Courtenay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Vocal Music Performance and Theatre Arts from Hartwick College. She has had the joy of singing a variety of different genres and styles all over the United States, Canada, and Europe and was a professional musical theatre performer for many years before moving to Cape Cod to raise her family. Now an educator of music, movement, and drama she enjoys working with all ages to inspire them to reach their personal best. Her emphasis is on singing without tension and finding authentic, honest expression through lyric interpretation. Some of Courtenay's students have gone on to pursue professional music careers but all have discovered the joy and power of their own voice! Please contact Courtenay to arrange a meeting. Open lesson times are listed on the calendar above but please reach out if you do not see a time that works for you. Lessons are $30/half hour and $60/hour billed in advance monthly. Payment for voice lessons may be made in cash, check, or Venmo.
